77a“ Bolo Sarkow1tz Bola Victor Sarkowitz, long- time resident oi'Shelton, died June 29 at Mason General Hospital at the age of 78. Mr Sarkowitz was born April 30, 1906, in Sherlden, Wyom- ing. He moved to Shelton from Sheriden, Wyoming in 1941, He lived in the upper Skokomish Valley, He had worked as a log- get for the Simpson Timber Company for 10 years then he went to work for Washington State Fisheries until his retire- ment in 1969i He had been a member of the Saint Edward’s Catholic church He is survived by his wife, Carmen Sarkowitz of Shelton; three daughters, Karen Layton of Olympia, Patricia Koont'z of Ravensdale, Washington, and Nancy Tobey of Shelton: his brother, Stanley Sarkowitz of Phoenix, Arizona; his sister, Sophia Yates of Clearmont, Wyoming; seven grand- children; and eight great-grand- children, A Mass of Christian Buria, was held at Saint Edward’s Catholic Church Tuesday, July 3, with Reverend Kieran Cun- ningham, order of Saint Benedict, officiating Burial followed at the Shelton Memorial Park, Arrangements were made under the direction of McComb and Batstone Funeral Home, , OCR Text: 77a“ Bolo Sarkow1tz Bola Victor Sarkowitz, long- time resident oi'Shelton, died June 29 at Mason General Hospital at the age of 78.
