for Esmaralda Jordan Eddy of
Olympia. She died September 26 at
Capital Medical Center. She was
89.
She was born in Kault, British
Columbia, on June 17, 1905 to
Hans Christian and Sofia Con-
stance (Toretensen) Anderson. She
attended elementary school in
Chase, British Columbia, and
Dietz Secretarial School in
Olympia.
She was married to Kirk Jordan,
who died in 1948, and in 1948 to
Richard Eddy, who died in 1951.
She lived in British Columbia,
Everett, Aberdeen, Shelton for 30
years and Olympia for 30 years.
Mrs. Eddy worked as a clerk in
the Washington Department of
Licensing for 15 years before retir-
ing in the early 19705. She loved to
play bridge and pinochle and liked
to knit and crochet
She was a member of Chapter 40
of the Eastern Star and Malachi
Chapter 8 of the Order of White
Shrine. She played bridge and pi-
nochle at the Olympia Senior
Center.
She was preceded in death by
her son, Randy L. Jordan of the
Washington State Patrol, in 1991.
Survivors include her daughter,
June Kimbel of Shelton; her sis-
ters, Maude Roberts of Phoenix,
Arizona, and Gladys Carney of
Longview;her grandchildren, Ran-
di McLean of Bothell, Shelby Conke
lin of Shelton, Peggy Trompler of
Bothell and Kim Hanley of Olym-
pia; her daughter-in-law, Ruth
Jordan of Olympia; her sonvin-law,
Jean Kimbel of Shelton; and seven
great-grandchildren.
