Edrgmlfl’l-laines Edna Frances Haines, 92, of Shelton died January 13 at Mason General Hospital. She was born to Oscar and Carrie Thomas Ahl in Hoodsport October 10, 1895. She was the youngest of eight children Raised in the Hoodsport area, she married Dess J. Haines in Seattle in 1913. The couple owned and operated Haines Music Store in Shelton and Haines Pancake House in Hoodsport before their retirement In 1985, Mrs. Haines moved to Shelton from Hoodsport. Mrs. Haines was a member of Sko— komish Grange 379 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary. She was a past matron of Canal Court 79. Order of Amaranth; past matron of Elinor Chap- ter 177, Order of the Eastern Star: and a past guardian of Bethel 37. Job‘s Daughters. Preceded in death by her husband in 1977 and also by a son, Ernest Haines, Mrs. Haines is survived by one son, Robert Haines of Folsom, California; one daughter, Betty Anthony of Sac- ramento, California; four grandehib dren: and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mrs. Hairles is scheduled for 1 pm. Saturday, Janu- ary 23, in the Union City Masonic Lodge 27.
