Note Goldfinch's Paint, Glass, and Wallpaper, which still is in business in 2005. It now is Goldfinch Brothers and no longer handles paint or wallpaper. I went to school with Geoff Goldfinch and used to buy paint there. Replacement panes for our Monte Cristo cabin and lexan for the outhouse came from there as well. The photo is dated 1913. That year Harry Winde joined J.C. Garner at the auto company. By 1917 they had moved to the southwest corner of Pacific and Rucker, with Winde president in 1919 and Garner gone. From 1928 to 1936 Winde operated the business from 2714 Colby Avenue. He then closed it down and leased it to Payless Grocery, which sign still is painted on the rear. His son Ross now operates the Treasure House gift shop there, its location for the past 40 years.
