Eva Hope Lake

Eva Hope (Hunter) Lake died peacefully in Pasco, WA on Friday, August 21,
2009 surrounded by her family. Eva was born in O’Niel, Nebraska on May
20,
1921 to Charles and Edna Hunter. She had 2 sisters: Geneva Hunter Deyette
(deceased) and Janet Hunter Foyle (Brewster, WA). Eva and her family moved
from Nebraska to Shelton, WA in 1925. She grew up in the Skokomish Valley
where she met the love of her life, James Harrison Lake (deceased). They
were
married on September 24, 1940. Throughout their 56 years of marriage they
lived
in Yakima, Sunnyside, Wenatchee, Bakersfield CA and settled in Kennewick
to
accommodate her husband's work with Coca—Cola and Allstate insurance.
Eva
loved her family above all and lived to serve and support each and every
member. She dedicated her life to raising her three children and supporting
and
loving her husband. Eva shared many happy times with her family‘ Eva was
preceded in death by her parents; sister Geneva; husband James; daughter
Marietta Grant; son-in-law Denny Grant and great—grand daughter Brianne
Butler.
Survivors include her children; Jim (Cassandra) and Roger (Patti):
grandchildren;
Terry Grant, Kim Butler, JoAnna Lake, Sarah Lake, Scott Lake, Joshua Lake
and
Seth Lake: greatgrand children; Taylor Butler, Ryan Butler, Emily Butler,
and
Mackenzie Grant: and sister Janet (Tad) Foyle. Eva is also survived by many
nieces and nephews that make their homes in the Pacific Northwest. Much
gratitude to the staff‘at Avalon Rehabilitation Center and Fresnius
Kidney Center
for the care provided to Eva in the last few years. Eva and her family send
