of love during our time of bereavement.

An old man sits outside his door dreaming of days gone by.
The sun shines warm and days are long,
but who knows how many more.
When he was young the wind could blow and nights
get very cold.
He’d g0 his way without a thought of lonely days when
everyone gets old.
His friends are mostly gone by now and he misses all of them,
But knows each one must live his life until the very end.
That’s why he has no remorse now, and very few regrets.
He’s lived and loved and always thought he gained more
than he lost.
No one denies we would like to live forever and a day,
But that can’t be ‘cause we all know that nature has its way.
That’s why he soaks the sunshine up on this balmy autumn day.
He knows before the spring will come he’ll find his final day.
