Dear Brian:
This letter is in response to your June 21, 2014 Plague Replacement Request for your
home at 238 Lobos Avenue in Pacific Grove. Your request was researched by the
Heritage Society Research Team and submitted to the Pacific Grove Heritage Society's
Board of Directors at our August 2014 meeting and approved.
Tax and assessor records indicate that the property was first assessed in 1905 and that the
original owner of record was Daniel Cox. According to CDD records, at City Hall, there
was a building permit issued in November of 2009, to replace several external window
frames. The Heritage Society Board agreed, after comparing older and newer photos of
your home, that the window replacements not only enhanced the appearance of your
home, but did so without compromising the historical integrity of your home.
You will be contacted by the P. G. Heritage Society when the plague is completed. It
normally takes three to six months to complete a plague, depending on the number of
plaques in process. I believe Don Beal notified you that there is a $35 donation fee
required for all replacement plaques. You can pick the plague up at the P. G. Heritage
Society Barn at 605 Laurel Avenue, in Pacific Grove.
Thank you for your interest in the Heritage Society of Pacific Grove.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at (831) 372- 2898.
