Gail Blehl £47»sz Mary Abigail “Gail" Biehl died on May 23 at Mason General Hos- pital. She was 82 and had lived in Shelton 50 years. She was born on October 5, 1925 in Los An- geles, Califor- nia, to Eli Lynn and Dorothy (Peters) Robin» son. She gradu- ated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1943. She attended the University of Washington and Eastern Wash— ~ Gail ington College of Education. Blah] She married Arthur Biehl in Edmonds on Au- gust 9, 1947. Mr. and Mrs. Biehl met each other when they played in the band in high school. She did ex- tensive research on the Shelton families of Robinson, Winsor and Brigg. Mrsi Biehl worked for three years at naval supply at the Bremerton Naval Shipyard during World War II, then at the Shelton Auxiliary Air Station. She was a music librarian for 10 years at Eastern University and was also a homemaker. She had been a member of the Lutheran church in Ketchikan, Alaska, sgved on the Cheney Community Service Council, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Tillicurn Club, with Emanuel Lu» theran Church in Cheney, Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Lacey and Faith Lutheran Church in Shelton. She was a Sunday school teacher and member of the church choir. Her hobbies included sewing, quilting and gardening. She was also an avid reader. Surviving are husband Arthur Biehl of Shelton; daughter Caro- lyn Gray and husband Charles of Tumwater; sons Alan Biehl and wife Cheryl of Spokane Valley and Carl Biehl and wife Melinda of San Antonio, Texas; sisters Helen Gibler of Seattle and Dorothy Lou Aklin of Sultan; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Elizabeth Ellis. A graveside service was held on May 29 at Shelton Memorial Park. A memorial service was held on Monday, June 2, at the Faith Lu- theran Church in Shelton. Memorial donations may be made to the Mason County His- torical Society Museum, 427 West Railroad Avenue, Shelton, or Shelton Memorial Society at the Shelton Memorial Park, 1605 Van Buren, Shelton.
