Candy Jacobson Killed
In Elma Traffic Crash
Candy R. Jacobson, 13,
Shelton, was killed in a traffic
accident near Elma Monday
evening.
She was a passenger in a car
driven by Gaylen Bussard, 19,
Elma, which ‘left the road 3.4
miles east of Elma on Grays
Harbor County Road 41.
The Washington State Patrol,
which investigated the accident,
said the car left the road and hit a
telephone pole.
Bussard was taken to St. Peter
Hospital, Olympia, where he was
reported by the Patrol in critical
condition. Another passenger in
the car, Aloah Johnson, was
reported in fair condition in St.
Peter Hospital.
Miss Jacobson was born July
13, 1957 at McCleary and had
lived most of her life in Mason
County. She had been making her
home with her grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Jacobson, Rt. 1,
Box 159, McCleary, the past four
months.
Survivors include her mother,
Mrs. Rebecca Johnson, Shelton;
her father, Ned Jacobson,
Shelton; three brothers, Ted of
McCleary and Michael and Chad
of Shelton; three sisters, Debbie,
Susan and Heidi, all of Shelton;
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Jacobson, McCleary, and Mr. and
Mrs. Otto Baumann, Everett,
several step brothers and step
sisters.
Funeral services will be held
at 1 p.m. today at Whiteside
Funeral Chapel, Elma with burial
in Shelton Memorial Park at 3:30
p.m.
